Red Velvet & Vanilla Marble Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Base batter:

• 2½ cups flour

• 1 cup sugar

• 1 cup butter (or oil)

• 4 eggs

• 1 cup milk

• 1 tbsp baking powder

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• Pinch of salt

For Red Velvet part:

• 2 tbsp cocoa powder

• Red food coloring

• 1 tsp vinegar

Instructions

  1. Make the Base Batter • Cream butter and sugar till light • Add eggs one by one • Mix in milk and vanilla • Add flour, baking powder, and salt
  2. Divide the Batter • Split into two equal parts
  3. Flavor Each Part • Vanilla batter: leave as is • Red velvet batter: • Add cocoa powder • Add red food coloring • Add vinegar and mix
  4. Create the Marble Effect • Grease your pan • Pour alternating scoops of vanilla and red velvet batter • Use a skewer or knife to gently swirl (don’t overmix)
  5. Bake • Bake at 180°C for 35–45 minutes • Cool before slicing
