Ring-Shaped Sesame Bread

Soft, fluffy bread baked in a bundt-style pan, brushed with egg wash for a golden shine and topped with sesame seeds. A crowd-pleaser that neighbors will ask for again and again.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup warm milk (or water)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds

INSTRUCTION:

  1. Mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add olive oil and warm milk; knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Let dough rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Punch down and shape into a ring; place in a greased bundt pan.
  5. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
  6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.

SERVE:
Slice warm and serve with butter, jam, or alongside savory dishes.

NOTE:

  • Substitute milk with water for a lighter version.
  • Add herbs or cheese into the dough for extra flavor.
  • Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for 2 days.
