Cheesy Meat and Potato Patties

Ingredients

For the Patties:

 

Boiled eggs: 2, finely chopped

 

Cheese: 100 g (3.5 oz), grated

 

Butter: 2 tablespoons

 

Bread: 300 g, diced

 

Milk: 150 ml (⅔ cup), warm

 

Minced meat: 500 g (1 lb)

 

Egg: 1 large

 

Onion: 1, finely chopped

 

Garlic: 1 clove, minced

 

Salt: To taste

 

Black pepper: To taste

 

Flour: 150 g (1 cup)

 

For the Potato Coating:

 

Potatoes: 500 g (1 lb), grated and squeezed dry

 

Milk: 150 ml (⅔ cup), warm

 

Butter: 2 tablespoons, melted

 

Egg yolk: 1

 

Salt: To taste

 

Black pepper: To taste

 

For Frying:

 

Olive oil: For frying

 

Directions

 

Prepare the Meat Mixture:

 

Soak the diced bread in warm milk for 10 minutes, then squeeze out excess milk.

In a mixing bowl, combine the soaked bread, minced meat, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

 

Prepare the Potato Mixture:

 

Grate the potatoes and squeeze out any excess moisture.

In a separate bowl, combine the grated potatoes with warm milk, melted butter, egg yolk, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
